I mentioned this when you went into repeats this summer, I mentioned it a few weeks ago when daily updates ended. Since I've called up that lovely rose window graphic yet again today, it has to be said once more.
If you're going to go on hiatus, you should post some sort of note on the splash page. You don't have to say when you're coming back or what will be different, just that "the editors of medianstrip are on vacation" or something. To let us know that the site hasn't been left for dead.
I know this has been discussed, I know that this is just a case of inertia, but you should know that this isn't like forgetting to submit a chapter to your advisor - people notice when it doesn't get updated. People who read your website do so daily, and are probably more numerous than random hits. It looks like you've abandoned/forgotten about the project. This is bad. This summer, I genuinely thought that the site was dying, until Susan told me you were starting anew on 9/1. Why on Earth didn't you post that? I had already removed medianstrip from my bookmarks.
The upshot is, people will be much more forgiving of repeats and missed updates if there is some sign of life from your side.
Please.
